Submission Guidelines

Now that you are here, it means that you are interested in having your work published at Libre Magazine. Even if you are still making up your mind about it, we welcome you to Libre.

We are open to all kinds of written, photographed and designed works. We can accept your work in raw condition as well, just that it will require more time and effort on our part and will ultimately delay the publishing of your work.

If you follow some simple pointers before submitting your work, it will make things easier for us to upload your work at the earliest.

Written Works:

If you are submitting a short story, a poem, an article or any other written work; just keep these few things in mind.

  • If a part of your write up requires some formatting to appear after it’s published, such as bold letters or different color, then please point it either in your email or at the end of the document.
  • Do not format your document a lot as our website has its own style sheet and your work will loose its formatting once it gets published on Libre website.
  • Clearly mark THE TITLE & CATEGORY of your write up along with your name that you want to appear with your work.
  • If you consider it important, highlight the date on which the article was written.
  • We normally do not put any word-count limitation to your submitted work; but it is advisable that you keep your work at a reasonable length to maintain the readers’ interest.
  • Please mention in your submission email whether you wish to receive comments on your work directly on the website or not. If you forget to mention, we will permit public comments on your work, however, this can be changed at your request.
  • We do not accept any written material that involves religiously/politically controversial subjects, profanity and/or racism and discrimination.
  • Libre reserves the right to reject any work or remove any published work from its website as and when it deems necessary and appropriate.

Do visit this section once in a while for any updates in policies and guidelines.

Visual Works:

If you are submitting your photographic work, a painting, drawing, sketch or any other form of digital and non-digital art work; keep these few things in mind.

  • You should make sure that the work is original and the copyrights of the work belong to you.
  • Please make sure that the image you submit does not exceed 530 pixles in width.
  • Ideally, the dimensions of your submitted work would be:
  • Portrait: 530px  X  650px
  • Landscape: 530px  X  320px
  • However, if your work requires different dimensions than these, we will be happy to accommodate it.
  • Needless to say, we will not accept or publish any material which is profane, racist or discriminatory in any sense.
  • You maintain copyrights of your work.

Also:

Please note that this is a voluntary project, and every Libre Team member is maintaining and managing this website on voluntary basis.
