My First Baby
The feeling, one of its kind
I was expecting for the first time
With sleepless nights and restless days
I had to go a long way
Just a feel of her inside me
Meant the whole world to me
With patience and a long wait
Lucky day came and finally we met
When you came to this world
I said a silent prayer
You were the God’s gift I knew
What else could be perfect than you
I cried with the tears of amazement
When I held your little hand
Little fingers and tiny toes
Rosy lips and a teddy bear nose
Eyes like mine and face like father
You were our reflection altogether
I never knew it will happen this way
Just a little smile will make my day
A little angel will come to my life
Will make my life worthwhile
I pray to God to give me patience
To make my baby a good human
Give me tolerance, grace and kind words
To make my home a better place for her
