All in the Game
Whenever I looked at your face,
I kind of searched for a trace,
To remove the veil for two people
Who are living now at a slower pace…
First it was a few words exchanged,
Then the souls found rest on a page,
To cherish a routine day of life,
Up until sensing a promised pledge…
They felt childish, they felt stupid
But without each other life was so insipid
So the love appeared on the scene
And the guilty one was cupid…
They ignored the distance and trusted their say,
Dreams came through all over the way
They were passionate, they were blind,
So the fears were swept away…
Time went on without letting them know
Suddenly the bond started to dissolve
A shadow covered the minds
Words lost their meanings and tears took a role…
They always knew they were playing a game,
And after each other they have never been the same,
None had wished such an abrupt end
But it was fate forcing them to forget each other’s name…
