About Libre Magazine
The Idea:
It was an eventless afternoon some three winters back, when a small group of writer friends, condemned of being unpublished for a long time, decided to start up a magazine of their own. A magazine that wouldn’t say no to any aspiring young talent; a magazine that would bring to the light the ideas that stroll abundantly in young minds.
We started working on that idea and were half way through when, through twists and turns of fate and circumstance, made that idea extremely difficult to materialize. The idea faded away.
It wasn’t meant to fade away forever though; as we received an email on our old account, asking us whatever happened to the magazine. We were surprised that someone out their had still remembered and still bothered to write and ask about it.
This was a motivation enough. The team got together again and decided to start off with an online version of the magazine. This way we will be reaching out to even more writers, artists and photographers.
So here we are; welcoming you to LIBRE.
The Name:
The word “Libre” means free; allowed to move where one wants; not shut in, tied or fastened.
That’s the bottom line. This is a free magazine, a free website and you are free to write on just about anything you feel like.
